HD Hyundai Teams Up With Google Cloud To Accelerate AI Innovation

 

HD Hyundai is teaming up with Google Cloud to expedite its digital transformation through generative AI technology. This collaboration extends generative AI applications to Hyundai's core sectors, encompassing shipbuilding and construction machinery businesses in Korea. Google Cloud's Vertex AI platform will be deployed to develop industry-specific AI solutions, starting in January 2024. Key focus areas include tailoring AI solutions to industry needs, enhancing customer digital experiences through AI-based platforms, and training AI experts. HD Hyundai has already tested a Generative AI service for after-sales calls in its construction equipment division. The collaboration, initiated in July 2023, aims to establish a long-term AI roadmap for digital and business innovation. Notable prior initiatives include launching an AI Center, partnering on smart unmanned technology with POSCO, and collaborating with Siemens on AI for smart shipyards. Philip Moyer, VP of Global AI Business at Google Cloud, will address the significance of this collaboration at HD Hyundai's CES 2024 keynote session.
