Amorepacific Wins RE100 Leadership Award

Amorepacific, a leading beauty company in Korea, received the prestigious 'Market Trailblazer' award at the RE100 Leadership Awards held during Climate Week NYC 2023. The event, organized by The Climate Group in partnership with CDP, recognizes companies that lead the way in transitioning to renewable energy.

Amorepacific made history by becoming the first Korean beauty company to join RE100 in 2021, pledging to achieve 100% renewable energy usage across all its business locations by 2025. The company has actively pursued this goal by entering into direct renewable energy power purchase agreements (PPAs), including a groundbreaking virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) with a local renewable energy firm. They've also operated a 2.6MW solar power facility at their Osan Beauty Park, using renewable energy in product manufacturing since 2022.

This award underscores Amorepacific's commitment to sustainability and its dedication to addressing the global climate crisis while coexisting harmoniously with nature. The company's sustainable management goal, 'A MORE Beautiful Promise,' reflects its ongoing efforts in this regard.
