Husqvarna Group: FT Climate Leader Recognized

Husqvarna Group has once again been acknowledged as a 'Climate Leader' by Financial Times, marking the third consecutive year of this recognition. Among thousands of European companies analyzed, Husqvarna Group holds an impressive ranking of 74, showcasing their unwavering commitment to reducing carbon emissions while driving business growth. In the category of Personal and Household goods, Husqvarna Group proudly stands as the number one Swedish company.

The Financial Times and Statista have been compiling the list of "Europe's Climate Leaders" since 2021. This esteemed ranking highlights European companies that have made significant strides in reducing their core emissions intensity between 2017 and 2022, specifically focusing on Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions relative to revenue. These companies also meet additional climate-related criteria, including transparent Scope 3 reporting, absolute emissions reductions, and collaborative efforts. Husqvarna Group has shown remarkable progress, improving its score from 72.6 to 74.9 on a 100-point scale compared to last year.

Calle Medin, the Head of Sustainability at Husqvarna Group, emphasizes their dedication to carbon emission reduction, which is evident in their diligent work across the entire value chain. The company is actively collaborating with suppliers and customers to transition towards products that align with a low-carbon economy. Husqvarna Group recognizes that a significant portion of emissions, over 90%, originates from product use by end-users. This realization underscores the critical importance of electrification, and the company has strategically shifted from petrol to electricity-powered solutions. Their operational ambition is to have two-thirds of their motorized products electrified by 2026, a remarkable goal considering that this figure has already risen from 11% in 2015 to an impressive 43%.

Husqvarna Group's transformative journey towards sustainability is commendable, and their continuous efforts to reduce carbon emissions while driving business growth set an inspiring example for other companies to follow.
