BounceBit Secures $6M for Bitcoin Restaking Infrastructu

 

We are delighted to announce that BounceBit has successfully concluded a $6-million funding round to develop BTC Restaking infrastructure. This significant milestone was led by renowned venture capital firms Blockchain Capital and Breyer Capital.

Additionally, notable angel investors such as Nathan from Anchorage Digital, Calvin and Jessy from Eigenlayer, Kevin and Ashwin from Brevan Howard, Smokey from Berachain, George Lambeth, Pranay Mohan, James Parillo, RookieXBT, MacnBTC, Pentoshi, and others have also contributed.

At the heart of BounceBit's innovation lies its BTC Restaking mechanism, which serves as the project's foundation. BounceBit will construct a wide range of infrastructure to explore the potential use cases of Restaking for different types of Bitcoin. These infrastructure components are referred to as Shared-Security Clients (SSC).


BounceBit's initial demonstration of an SSC will be its BTC Restaking Chain, which will be secured by a validator.
