NaaS Teams Up with CSG Hainan EV for Charging in China's EV Hub

Recently, NaaS Technology, the first US-listed EV charging service company in China, announced a partnership with CSG Hainan EV, a subsidiary of China Southern Power Grid. This collaboration aims to enhance the connectivity of charging infrastructure and payment services for local EV owners in Hainan Province. By expanding the charging network and optimizing the use of charging stations, they aim to empower EV owners in the region. Hainan Province has the highest EV penetration rate among all the provinces in China.

As part of this agreement, NaaS, along with its strategic partner Kuaidian APP, has integrated 193 charging stations and 700 DC chargers owned by CSG Hainan EV into its national charging service network. Through the APP, users can easily locate nearby charging stations, check prices, navigate to the stations, and enjoy additional services like one-click charging and online payment.

Hainan Province, known for its tourism and trade, stands out as a leader in EV accessibility. In 2023, it achieved the highest EV penetration rate in China at 50.8%. The province currently has 292,700 EVs, with a car-to-pile ratio of 2.5:1, according to the Department of Finance of Hainan Province.

CSG Hainan EV, a subsidiary of China Southern Power Grid, is responsible for providing EV services within the province. With a focus on digitalization and platformization of charging infrastructure, the company is making significant progress in installation and operation. It also aims to contribute to the "dual-carbon" targets set for the Hainan Free Trade Port.
