Mediwave Unveils World's 1st Mixed Reality & AI-Powered Connected Ambulance
Singapore-based Mediwave, the digital healthcare arm of
Wavenet, has joined forces with 1990 Suwa Seriya, Sri Lanka's national
pre-hospital emergency ambulance service, to revolutionize emergency care using
Mixed Reality and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Together, they unveiled a fully
Connected Ambulance, powered by Mediwave's integrated Emergency Response Suite.
This suite, leveraging Microsoft HoloLens, digitizes critical processes,
ensuring swift responses to emergencies. Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs)
can remotely connect with physicians, monitor vital signs using the Internet of
Medical Things (IoMT), and provide specialized care before hospital arrival,
significantly improving care during the crucial golden hour. 1990 Suwa Seriya,
with an impressive 11 minutes and 38 seconds response time, utilizes AR
simulations for personnel training and an AI-powered transcriber for Electronic
Patient Care Records, reducing delays and errors. This collaborative initiative
signifies a transformative leap in pre-hospital emergency management,
showcasing the global impact of AI and Mixed Reality on emergency response
systems.
