LG Display Reveals Latest OLED Tech at SID 2024

 


LG Display, the world's top innovator in display technologies, just announced some exciting news! They will be showcasing a wide range of their next-generation OLED and cutting-edge display technologies at SID Display Week 2024 in San Jose, California from May 14-16.


Visitors will have the opportunity to explore LG Display's new OLED technologies, all centered around the theme "A Better Future." From OLEDoS for VR to large-sized OLED panels that push the boundaries of picture quality, and even automotive display solutions optimized for Software Defined Vehicles (SDV), there's something for everyone.


One of their latest innovations is OLEDoS for VR, a technology being revealed to the public for the very first time. This incredible display boasts a significant increase in screen brightness and resolution compared to the current standard. Despite its tiny size of just 1.3 inches, it delivers an astonishingly bright 10,000 nits and an ultra-high resolution of around 4,000 ppi, which is on par with 4K quality. Not only that, but it also achieves exceptional color accuracy, meeting over 97% of the DCI-P3 standard color area set by the Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI). With all these advancements, LG Display is bringing us closer to a more immersive and lifelike virtual reality experience with unparalleled picture quality.
