Quectel Elevates ZCS Robot Lawnmowers with AI and RTK Navigation
Quectel Wireless Solutions, a global IoT solutions provider, has announced its collaboration with Zucchetti Centro Sistemi (ZCS) to enhance robotic lawnmowers. Specifically, ZCS will integrate Quectel's LG69T series GNSS module and the ZCS Cloud Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) satellite navigation system into their Twenty 29, 4.0 – 4.36 – 4.50 Elite RTK lawnmowers.
Quectel's LG69T series GNSS module is known for its
dual-band options, supporting multiple global constellations like GPS, Galileo,
and BDS. With up to 10 Hz navigation rate and optional integration of RTK and
Dead Reckoning technology, this module is versatile across various
applications, including precision agriculture, drones, and robotics.
The LG69T-AM module, when combined with ZCS Cloud RTK,
offers centimeter-level accuracy. This enables lawnmowers to navigate large
areas without the need for perimeter wires, ensuring precise grass cutting even
in challenging terrains.
Norbert Muhrer, President and CSO of Quectel Wireless
Solutions, highlighted the advanced positioning technology of the LG69T-AM
module, which provides centimeter-level accuracy for precise navigation.
ZCS's Idea Lab, dedicated to research and development,
focuses on improving the intelligence of their lawnmower robots through this
collaboration. The integration of RTK Cloud technology enhances information
transmission and increases the accuracy of robot positioning, optimizing
autonomous navigation.
This technology is initially integrated into specific models
for larger gardens, with plans for expansion into robots designed for smaller
to medium-sized green spaces.
The partnership between Quectel and ZCS underscores the
increasing importance of IoT technology in the development of smart, efficient,
and precise solutions for everyday tasks, such as lawn maintenance. Quectel's
global IoT expertise complements ZCS's commitment to innovation in the field of
robotic lawnmowers.
