Tuya Smart: Leading IoT Security at Cyber Norms Forum

 Tuya Smart, a global IoT developer service provider, participated in a cyber norms forum hosted by the Research Center for Global Cyberspace Governance (RCGCG) to discuss cybersecurity approaches and secure the rapidly advancing tech frontiers. The event focused on "Cyber Norms: Legal, Policy & Industry Perspectives" and included experts from institutions such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology, U.S.-China Business Council, and Hathaway Global Strategies LLC.

The forum aimed to promote international cooperation in developing cyber norms, acknowledging the existing fragmentation in the cyber norm ecosystem as an opportunity to broaden stakeholder engagement. Tuya Smart showcased its holistic approach to cybersecurity leadership, recognized as an exemplar in the 2022 Global IoT Security White Paper for its best practices. The company emphasized collaboration and supported 12 initiatives proposed by RCGCG and ioXt to safeguard global IoT security.

Tuya Smart demonstrated its commitment to high security standards through international third-party security certifications and the establishment of data centers globally. The company fully embraces national-level security standards to differentiate trustworthy products in the marketplace.

The discussions addressed concerns about potential data sharing by Chinese companies with Chinese authorities. Tuya Smart highlighted its commitment to data sovereignty, jurisdiction, and governance of other countries and emphasized the need for global data security rules that involve all stakeholders and respect the interests of all parties.
